After the Renovation.

A newly finished space deserves a careful clean before you settle back in.

Newly finished bathroom ready for final cleaning

The building work may be done, but a final clean helps the result feel complete. Renovations can leave fine dust in places that are easy to overlook during an ordinary tidy-up.

Wait until the work is finished

Schedule the final clean after contractors have completed their work and removed tools, materials, and larger debris. If additional sanding, painting, or installation is still ahead, new dust may settle on freshly cleaned surfaces.

Share what changed

Tell the cleaning team which rooms were renovated and which surfaces are new or delicate. Newly installed stone, wood, tile, cabinetry, and fixtures may require product choices based on their care instructions. It also helps to flag areas where fine dust traveled beyond the work zone.

Expect a detail-focused pass

A post-construction visit may focus on accessible ledges, trim, doors, cabinet exteriors, fixtures, and floors. Dust can settle again after the first pass, especially if the air is still moving through the space. Discuss your priorities and the agreed scope with the local team before service.

Make the last walkthrough count

  • Look at shelves, window sills, and other horizontal surfaces.
  • Check corners, baseboards, and transitions between materials.
  • Review bathrooms and kitchens where finishing work often happened.
  • Identify any area that may need a follow-up after remaining work is complete.

With the dust handled, the renovation can finally feel ready to live in.
